The coaching profession is now discovering the importance of working with our clients’ feelings and imagination. We will explore the controversy surrounding this topic, look at the relevant research and learn to use powerful Goal Imagery® coaching tools to tap the subconscious power of feelings and imagination within ourselves and our clients for self-discovery, better rapport, to increase motivation, clarify goals and help your clients to create meaningful and effective strategy to achieve them.
You will:
- Learn to apply your feelings and imagination to be a better coach.
- Utilize Goal Imagery® for creating congruence between subconscious needs and conscious goals.
- Learn how to motivate your clients using their own metaphors, imagination and feelings.
- Use your client’s feelings and imagination to help them create meaningful and effective strategy.

PACA Celebrates 10 Years:
Pictures of our Past and Visions of the Future
Kick-Off Gala - October 16, 2008
In 1998, two coaches sat around a small table at the City Line Diner imagining what a community of coaches in Philadelphia might look like. This small gathering quickly blossomed into three members and then four. And then before you know it, a name and a larger venue needed to be chosen.
Ten years later, we're known as the Philadelphia Area Coaches Alliance, boast an active membership of 125, and are known as the place for professional coaches.
To celebrate, PACA is embarking on a year-long series of activities, beginning with the 10th Anniversary Gala! We are honored to have one of the early pioneers of coaching, Dr. Patrick Williams, EdD, MCC, as the keynote speaker for the October 16 event. He will offer insights on the legacy of coaching and give us a remarkable perspective on the future possibilities that exist for the profession.
Save the date and be on the lookout for more details! For more information, please contact Clare Sautter by email: Claresautter@comcast.net or by phone at 610-304-5829.

Credential Committee Chair, Ken@KenAbrams.com
How
does this work? Volunteers are needed
to act as a client and be the coach for each
call. Coaches listening on the call are asked
to be silent. They have an opportunity to
say what they noticed after Ken's debrief
but no assessment/criticism of the coaching.
The intent is for the learning of both the
practice coach and coaches listening in.
It is truly
meant to be fun and
is designed to give ICF credential prospects
the opportunity to practice for their 'live'
portion of the ACC / PCC / MCC exam. The
call will be set up as if the candidate is
being tested.
It is also an extremely valuable learning
experience for ALL coaches - even the most
experienced!
What to expect on the call:
- There will be
a brief introduction of the process
by Ken Abrams.
- The assumption
will be that the Coach-Client relationship
is established.
- It is not necessary
for the Coach to introduce themselves
or interview the Client as to coachability.
- The
Coach will coach the Client for
about 20-25 minutes.
- Debrief
will be 10-15 minutes.
- Ken Abrams,
will listen and 'score' the Coach
Interested? Contact Ken Abrams at 610-240-4857 or Ken@KenAbrams.com. Space is limited to 20 participants, including Ken, the coach and their client.
PACA may make an audio recording of this call only with permission of the participants. PACA members will have access to the recording in the Members Area of PACA's website.
